The Art of Barossa Shiraz

Halliday Rating:

Winemaker Tom White spent many years making wines for other wineries before discovering a special vineyard in the small subregion of Marananga on the western side of the Barossa Valley.

While living in a small bluestone cottage surrounded by his vineyards, Tom handcrafts exceptional single site wines. Very low yields and high quality benchmarks ensure that each vintage is of the utmost quality.

Fanatical About Quality

Small sections of the Hillside and Shed Block vineyards produce Shiraz grapes with increased flavour and deeper colour. On the other side of the bluestone cottage a few rows of Cabernet Sauvignon also display extraordinary quality.

Each vintage Tom keeps the fruit from these small areas separate for potential use in his Curator Wines, the finest wine of each vintage.

No effort is spared to make this wine exquisite - hand picked, open fermented, hand plunged, the finest oak and importantly, plenty of time in bottle.
